A tumultuous 2020 put a wedge in Autosuggestion’s schedule, but perseverance pushed the band on to follow up the ‘Live at Dark Daze’ EP with their first studio foray. The production of Craig Johnson (Autobahn) and the mastering of Joe Caithness results in two tracks showing the band finding a balance with their raw energy and artistic maturity.

‘Deadpan' is a stirring, rhythmic piece that builds and euphorically releases in impassioned throws of blissful noise.
'A New Slow' captures a droning epic of interweaving texture and emotion, rousing into a fervent expression of angst and belief.

The two tracks capture what Autosuggestion are capable of off the stage, and stand as a statement of their artistic vision as a band.

As of the two year anniversary of the release of Deadpan / A New Slow we've unearthed a couple of things from the Autosuggestion vaults: A Video for Deadpan filmed at Mabgate Bleach, Leeds, when DRAB hosted us for our first ever Headline show back in November of 2021; and a couple of recordings.
The first recording that has been added is a (extremely) rough demo of 'Deadpan' that we recorded ourselves in an old basement that we rented in Hull back in 2019, The second new recording is of 'A New Slow' back when we played with Polevaulter at The New Adelphi Club, Hull, in August of 2022. Jim let us capture a desk feed while ch33sl3y was kind enough to lend us their room capture. These two new tracks have been added to the existing release on Bandcamp to make it the 'Digitial Deluxe' edition.

Autosuggestion Hull, UK

Autosuggestion are Jacob (vocals), Will (drums), Rowan (bass) and Scott (guitar).

Meeting in their hometown of Hull the four piece found a shared passion for Yorkshire underground punk bands such as Eagulls and Sievehead, and the late 70’s-early 80’s era of post-punk. Autosuggestion are powered by their ‘everything at 100% all the time’ mindset.
